I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
